advice on dealing with a defective car seat and getting help

Advice On Dealing With A Defective Car Seat And Getting HelpWriten by Rishi Chawla

The automobile market can be intimidating, and if you are just starting out in the wonderful world of wheels you may need advice on buying your first car. There are so many options for car buyers: new or used, red or blue, sports car or SUV, two or four doorsand that is just for starters! Also, as a new car buyer you need to be wary of advice on buying your first car, because there are still quite a few snake-oil salesmen out there in the automotive market looking to sell you a lemon. Following you will find some solid advice on buying your first car.

The first consideration for anyone who wants to buy his or her first car is usually whether to buy new or used. Many first car buyers are young people who are just starting out, so the necessity of buying used is often present. Advice on buying your first car new from a showroom is fairly straightforward: buy from a reputable dealer, research the best type of vehicle for you, and seek out the best deals including free extras, low interest and rebates. However, if you plan to buy a used vehicle, where should you look to avoid getting taken advantage of? Most car dealerships also sell gently used cars, usually those that have been previously leased. When these are out of your price range, there are also many used car lots with lower-priced second-hand vehicles. Look for a car dealer who is willing to do all the necessary repair work to get your first car in top running condition, and who also has all the necessary certifications to be in business. Ask whether you can talk to other people who have bought cars from the dealer and find out if they have had major problems with the vehicle. Always test-drive a car before you buy!

When it comes to the car itself, there are a number of things you should check out on your first car. You can examine the tires, the body and the interior on sight and look for possible problems. When considering the tires, be alert for rips and gouges and demand replacements for poor tires or ask for a lower purchase price. Also, uneven wear on tires indicates an alignment or suspension problem, in which case you should tell the dealer to perform the repairs before you will consider buying. On the body of the car, a few dents and scratches wont affect the performance - but several of them could indicate the car has been in an accident. Also, rust along the bottom of doors or on the frame can attack the structure of the vehicle. Excessive rust is a bad sign. Check the interior of the car thoroughly for missing mirrors, frayed seatbelts, loose knobs and switches that dont work. Test the audio system as well. Any of these points can be used as a bargaining tool to lower the asking price!

With any used vehicle, you should always obtain a used car report such as those from CARFAX. This information will tell you whether there are any outstanding liens, holds, or fines associated with the vehicle, and whether its been involved in an accident.

What is the best advice on buying your first car? Take your time, and have fun. With some careful research and a bit of the right knowledge, you can soon say, This is my car!

auto glass repair vs replacement

Auto Glass Repair vs ReplacementWriten by Scotty Johnson

Whenever there's an accident, the first thing that has a probability of breaking is the windshield. Even a small crack can often spread across your area of vision or it can spread into the inner layer of your windshield, which is a plastic layer sandwiched between the two glass layers. Even a small stone can cause extensive damage.

Whenever such a situation occurs, the first thing that arises in our mind is which option we should choose - repair or replacement. If we go for repair rather than the replacement then certainly we can save some money. Modern windshields have been designed to be repairable. Nowadays special injections are coming into the automobile glass market that contain a special resin which is injected into the damaged area using unique tools that attach directly to the glass.

Some chips or cracks may react successfully to the repair whereas some may not. Windshield repair is like first aid. If you leave a crack and do not fix it, then it may cause more severe damage and the condition of the windshield can get much worse.

If a tiny size chip is just in front of your driving seat, then a quick repair is must as this may hinder your vision. Windshield repair can be quarter sized or up to 3 inches long. But some advance techniques can repair up to 12 inches long cracks. For more than 12-inch cracks, only replacement is suggested.

Major thing that needs to be considered is the location and size of the damage. If damage is at the edge of the windshield then it will spread fast and will destroy the integrity of the glass. If any edge damage is found then repair it soon. It will save the life of your windshield.

Some of current techniques do no repair those cracks that directly come into the view of drivers line of sight because a small distortion may still left behind. In that case replacement would be a wise decision. Cost of the repair is entirely depending upon the damage of the windshield. If the cracks are quite long or around 12 inches then charges will be higher.

Certainly if you go for replacement then your insurance company may not pay you the entire replacement amount but in case of repair they may pay the total expenditure. So repair is a more economical process.

Windshield repair or replacement is totally depending upon the size and location of the damage and cracks. So, before going for any of these options just consult a glass specialist who can examine your shield and suggest if a repair will work or not. If damage from an accident is quite big then do not compromise your life, as you know better that windshield replacement is a necessity. Just bear in mind that your life is more valuable than anything else.

muscle cars like dinosaurs once ruled the earth

Muscle Cars, Like Dinosaurs, Once Ruled The EarthWriten by Brian Edwards

Detroit, or the world, has never produced an automobile that rivals the muscle cars of the 1960s and early 1970s. They were big, powerful and wonderfully unrefined. No one would call them sports car in the traditional sense. They were not nimble and curves were dangerous at most any speed. However, what they lacked in sophistication they made up for in brut force. In many ways the GTOs, Mustangs, Road Runners and their brethren represented the American character better than any vehicle past or present. Simplicity, dependability, strength and singularity of purpose were their calling cards. No one could confuse the purpose of these beasts. It was plain for all, and it was straight-line performance for one quarter of a mile. Nothing else mattered.

Contrast that with today and the lore of days past becomes even more apparent. A new Corvette will defeat even the most powerful Corvette of old in every category. The current generation of performance cars thumps the muscle car in safety, comfort, reliability and, yes, performance. But, that does not tell the whole story and it doesnt explain the current interest in and corresponding sky rocketing values of classic muscle cars. The clarity of purpose these super cars exuberated just feels good. It awakens the cave man in each of us! These automobiles have a particular hold on the generation that came of age in the late 1960s. Many feel that this is their last chance to re-live their youth and they are willing to pay for the opportunity.

For example, a 1970 Dodge Hemi Cuda sold for $4,035 new and well-preserved models are routinely offered and $150,000 today. That represents and 10.6% annual return. Not a bad return considering the stock market has returned 7.4% annual over the same period. Similarly, and 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS convertible with a 454ci engine sold for $4,200 new and to will cost around $115,000 or a 9.7% annual return. Finally, a 1969 Boss Mustang with a 429ci Engine originally cost $4,150 and today trades for $115,000. That is a 9.6% return over the same period.

Granted these are examples of the rarest and most sought after muscle cars. However, even common muscle cars have experienced notable gains. The 1970 Plymouth Road Runner with a 440ci engine sold for $3,500 and today trades at $55,000. A 1967 Pontiac GTO cost $3,750 and now goes for $45,000. Thats a 6.8% compounded rate of return.

The investor in muscle cars must consider a few very important points. First, all investments have risks. This market, like real estate or technology stocks, could fall as fast as it has risen. Second, unlike stocks and money market investments, muscle cars do not pay dividends or interest. Indeed, they cost money to maintain, store and restore. Third, rarity matters. As the numbers above show, the rarest muscle cars have preformed the best. Finally, get a second opinion when considering a classic muscle car. Mechanics are a good choice and a mechanic that has actually restored a few cars is the best choice. Nothing beats experience.

Obviously, one of the most important variables to consider when considering muscle cars as an investment is the condition. Only the most original and accurately restored examples fetch these prices. More common versions or cars in lower conditions will sell for significantly less. For the collector that actually wants to drive their cars regularly these more common versions may actually be a better value.

The choice of a rare collector muscle car or a common daily driver depends on the budget and the purpose of the collector. Both offer unique benefits to the owner and much enjoyment. The chance to re-live our youth is always a pleasant experience.

Muscle Car Facts is dedicated to providing information on all the great muscle cars of the past.

do you want to increase your cars resale value heres how

Do You Want to Increase Your Car's Resale Value? Here's How!Writen by Sarah McBride

Planning to resell your car in the future and buy a new and more advanced model? Then you have to exert more effort in keeping it in good shape and excellent driving condition by now. Even if its already old, you can sell it at high price if it looks and performs like new.

The very first thing you can do is to maintain your vehicle. Like what most of us do to safeguard our health, we go to the doctor for a regular check up. Always check the parts of your car, especially those that perform critical tasks like the engine, the battery and other electrical parts. If you need a professionals help, go to a trusted and experienced auto mechanic to avoid further damage to your car and thus, further expenses.

Even if your manual says you shouldnt change your oil yet, its better to change the oil and your filter every three months or 3,000 miles to avoid future engine repairs and frequent servicing, which would be costly compared to changing the oil more often and replacing the filter. Some auto parts may require repair or replacement, dont wait till the problem gets worse.

Among the auto parts that require your utmost care and attention are the car wheels and tires. These parts are closest to the road and their quality affects significantly your vehicles ride quality and handling. Keep them clean and the tires inflated. If damaged or if it looks overused now, dont hesitate to replace them.

Replacing your worn out tires and wheels with top quality replacement wheels can help a lot in improving your cars handling abilities. Getting whats fit for your vehicle shouldnt be a problem because there are thousands of online stores that sell various kinds of auto parts, including the most sought-after replacement Ford wheels, Nissan wheels, Jeep wheels, and Chevrolet wheels.
There are plenty of stores that offer rock-bottom Auto Parts Deal
on wheels and other replacement auto parts; make sure to get your replacement auto parts from experienced dealers.

Investing on aftermarket auto parts and high quality replacement parts and accessories is another way to increase your vehicles resale value. Aside from regular check up, you need to replace some of your cars parts and mechanical components even if they are still working to upgrade its performance and style. If you have an old Ford F-150 truck for example, which you frequently use to haul and transport heavy cargoes, you have to continuously upgrade its performance parts so it can always perform highly challenging tasks. Ford truck parts are known to be exceptionally tough but it doesnt mean they dont require much attention and care.

Aftermarket auto parts are those that did not come from the car manufacturer while OEM auto parts are those made by the automaker and in most cases, are originally equipped to the car. Lets take for example a BMW car. Those BMW parts not made by BMW and which one has bought and installed on his car at or after it has left the dealership, are referred to as aftermarket products.

No matter how finely built and equipped your car is, it needs upgrading, especially if its already an old model. Some parts may not have been provided yet when you bought it and some of its parts may not look so attractive and stylish anymore. Its time to replace them to make your vehicle look brand new.

Some of the frequently purchased online are Mazda mirrors, Toyota tail lights, BMW headlights, and Dodge fog lights. Aside from enhancing the way your car looks, all these parts are helpful in keeping you away from accidents too, which of course excuses no one and no vehicle. Its always better to be on guard and prepared for any road accidents that might happen.

Simple things like accessorizing your vehicle can go along way. This can help you sell your car with a worthy price tag in the future. But more than this, it makes your ride more comfortable, more fashionable, more convenient and safer, which in effect reduces a lot of stress in driving. So be wise, get replacement parts only from a dependable dealer like Auto Parts Deal.

As a manager of one of the largest auto stores in Springfield, Massachussets, Sarah has extensive expertise on auto parts and automotives in general. This 42 year old is a certified car enthusiast.

used car buying advice

Used Car Buying AdviceWriten by Idan Lavi

When looking to buy a new car, the first thing you should do is to look in the Kelly blue book. Using Kelly`s blue book will help you determine how much you should pay for a used car. The automotive blue book covers everything there is about used cars and pricing.

It tells you by make, model, year and condition, exactly what you should pay for just about any vehicle that you could possibly even run across! It is a veritable goldmine of pricing information. There are, however, a few things that the Kelly automotive blue book is not really any good for. It is lousy, or even worthless for finding point by point reports of how well cars keep their utility. Sure, you can get some idea of what car might be worth buying by seeing which keeps its worth, and which does not do that at all, but that does not really tell the whole story.

This is why I am such a big fan of the consumer reports guide to cars. Although it is not as good a guide to how much to pay as is the automotive blue book, it does have a lot of advantages that the latter does not. It will tell you almost everything about used cars. It will show you expected life, the expenses of maintaining them, and point by point, which systems of the car are likely to need to be repaired or replaced, and which are not. There is really no more valuable source in the world for trying to figure out which car to get as your next one than the consumer reports guide. It is almost without parallel, if you are to ask me.

Of course, neither the consumer reports guide nor the automotive blue book really are enough. The automotive blue book will tell you how much to pay, and the consumer reports guide will tell you about what you should look for, but there is no substitute for getting the car checked out by a qualified mechanic. If you choose not to take this important step and check the car you are at risk of being get ripped off instead of getting a car that will last you for as long as you need it to. Getting ripped off stinks so do yourself a favor and get the car checked out.

auctions that wage the precise turn of aggregation and
the precise aggregation too. Avoid those that do not.

Who module clear the transport and direction costs? Often,
the vendee pays these costs, and sometimes, the

7 affordable small cars

7 Affordable Small CarsWriten by Matthew Keegan

Are you shopping for a small car? If so, there a number of models available to you for under $15,000. Seven are featured here; ten cars if you consider three alternate models. Manufacturer incentives have made this a great time to purchase a new car; shop, compare, and save!

Chevrolet Cobalt With the MSRP of $14,410 this new Chevrolet model is one of the lowest priced cars manufactured in the U.S. Factor in GM employee pricing and the car can be had for less than $13,000. Not bad when you consider that few new car models are priced so low. Alternatively, GM still markets the Chevrolet Cavalier an outdated, dull, and uninspiring model. Still, at prices that begin around $10,500 the Cavalier just may pique your interest.

Ford Focus Retailing at $15,590 the Focus is also available at a lower price when incentives kick in. In addition, eligible buyers will find nice low financing rates through Ford Credit.

Honda Civic Coupe A quality leader in this segment is the Civic, the long time entry level Honda offering. With the MSRP starting at $14,175 the car is certain to attract the notice of the value conscious brigade.

Hyundai Accent Yes, there still is a car marketed for under ten grand. With a price tag of $9999 the Hyundai Accent takes the prize as being the lowest priced new car for sale in America. The Hyundai Elantra also retails for under 15K, so it may be a better quality alternative to the Accent. FYI: Hyundai and Kia are made by the same company, so the excitement level for this model is certain to be nearly nonexistent.

Kia Rio With the MSRP listed at $10,745 the Kia Rio is the lowest priced four door car sold in the U.S. A low level of quality makes this car as exciting as the Chevrolet Cavalier.

Saturn ION The floor has nearly fallen out of the bottom of the ION, price wise that is. With GM employee pricing factored in the car retails at just $11,995 for the base model.

Toyota Corolla Always competitive, the 2006 Corolla is already available and it is priced at $14,005. The Corolla is considered by industry leaders to be the highest quality of all small cars on the market too. Alternatively, the smaller Toyota ECHO is priced more than $2,000 lower than the Corolla.

With incentives figured in prices are certainly lower than they have been in some time. However, if you want a larger car and you do not want to pay the big rates consider a good one or two year old used car. Prices for used cars have been dropping because of the increasing number of trade ins flooding dealer lots due to manufacturer incentives.

In all, now is a very good time to purchase a car; shop around and you just may save yourself several thousands of dollars off of the sticker price.

key benefits of having an auto dvd player

Key Benefits Of Having An Auto DVD PlayerWriten by Karen Teo

Anyone who has every traveled a long distance with children in a vehicle knows the benefits of an auto DVD player. These handy devices can make a possible nightmare on the road into an enjoyable ride that can last for hours without a major meltdown from the backseat passengers. There are some great options in auto DVD players.

You might think that such a valuable piece of technology would cost a bundle but you can find an auto DVD player at a really reasonable price. I was thrilled to discover this very fact when I was shopping for a way to keep the kids entertained on long trips. I have twin toddlers and they can wreak havoc on a long trip.

Unfortunately, toddlers are not so thrilled about great landscapes. The twins were absolutely miserable during the entire drive and it was difficult to console them even when we made pit stops. Basically, without an auto DVD player to keep the little ones occupied, we had nothing but tears and screams drilling us from the back seats.

I learned about the difficulty of traveling with two toddlers on a long trip after a horrendous summer vacation. We had a long distance to cover but I really thought that the large family van would be spacious enough to house the four of us and I really believed that entertainment would be provided by the scenery.

By the time we reached the vacation destination all four of us were exhausted. Unfortunately, the first day was engulfed in the nasty travel experience. Even though we only spent six hours in the car, it felt like we had spent an entire week in there. The rest of the day was spent trying to unwind from the awful travel experience.

Finding the right unit for our vehicle was no problem at all. From now on I make sure to have a full stock of my kids favorite shows on hand when we have to travel any long distance. The auto DVD player was an excellent investment. We love ours so much that we are looking to buy a new vehicle that comes equipped with one.

how can we prevent auto deaths

How Can We Prevent Auto DeathsWriten by Lance Winslow

Even though the DOT reports less death accidents in personal vehicles we still have a long way to go. Over 40,000 people die on our streets and highways every year. We all know someone who has died in a traffic accident. In the United States we have the safest roads in the world and the safest cars too.

What else can we do to bring down that number of 40,000 deaths? That is twenty times higher than the casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan combined and we did not even have a war to kill all those friends and neighbors on our highways. One idea which had been kicked around was to put a little light on the dash boards of cars so when an ambulance, fire truck or police car with lights and sirens was on it would flash on the dash board to alert drivers to pull over. This could very easily be done with a small network sensor in every car and a small light on the dash, which would activate automatically when an emergency vehicle was within one-eighth of a mile away. Clean windows of course help for visibility. Five thousand deaths occur near, around or on the way to accidents, which have already occurred. This includes crashes into emergency vehicles, police officers out of their cars and rear end collisions due to rubber necking and lack of paying attention.

Other ideas which are on their way to a car near you include such things as improved kids car seats: Also innovations in air bags, radars and simple things you can do to protect yourself; If you are involved in an accident you need to be aware of what to do, chances are every driver will sometime be involved in an accident sometime in their lives. If you are wondering what safety features you next car might have check out this list and see if your choice for your next car is safe enough for your family. Lets all buckle up and stay heads up while driving, dont be a statistic and dont cause any. Think about it.

car audio systems

Car Audio SystemsWriten by Peter Emerson

It is hard to imagine an automobile without an audio system. Car audio systems are important to all car owners and a mind boggling range is available to choose from. A car audio system is a combination of components such as head units, amplifiers, speakers, and auxiliary input devices. All of these work to complement each other and have no meaning on a stand-alone basis.

The head unit of a system is like the brain and central processing unit. Control and tuning of the volume, bass, equalizer, etc., is done through this unit. There are different kinds of head units. Some allow you to play only tapes, CDs or the radio, while others allow all of these choices. Advanced devices can also hold many CDs at a time and allow shuttling between them. Speakers are obviously important if we want to hear anything. However, different kinds are available, like cone or ribbon type. All have their own advantages. The placement of speakers also makes a difference. Then there are amplifiers, which amplify or increase signals to make them audible. They too are available in different configurations, like mono, stereo or multi-channel.

Car audio systems can range from basic to very high end and funky models. A basic system costs less and can have good sound quality if components are of a standard make. Some decisions also depend on intended use. If you feel that you do not require a tape player but a CD player, then invest in a good-quality CD player rather than a cheap combination. For a basic system, you can go for only front speakers and avoid rear ones. Advanced models are available in compact sizes, with or without remote control and all other features one can imagine.

Depending on your budget and personal preferences, you can self-assemble a unit or buy an all-in-one system. Branded ones may be costlier but come with a guarantee and are easy to service. For some things like speakers, it is advisable to buy from standard, reliable and tested manufactures. If sound quality is low or harsh, then money saved is also wasted.

3 american performance cars

3 American Performance CarsWriten by Matthew Keegan

Bear with me as I step back in time to formulate what I believe are three terrific American built performance cars: the Ford Mustang, the Dodge Challenger, and the Chevrolet Camaro. Currently, only the Mustang is in production with the Challenger coming back by 2009. GM hasnt committed to building the Camaro just yet, but the company is likely to make a decision in favor of the car and its sibling, the Pontiac Firebird, by this summer. So, what is it about American performance cars that set them apart from the rest? In one word: muscle. Read on as I compare and contrast these three vehicles and share with you my feeble attempts to explain the culture behind the cars.

So, you think I forgot the Chevy Corvette and Dodge Viper when talking about performance cars? No, I did not. Both models are performance cars as well as race cars. On the other hand the Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro are mass produced performance cars with muscle. There is a difference in the way a typical race car handles, rides, and performs vs. a muscle car.

Typically, a muscle car was a coupe version of some of the larger cars that were pervasive on U.S. highways in the 1960s and 1970s. The Mustang and Camaro, however, were designed separately [although they both heavily borrowed parts from other models and these pony cars were a category all to themselves. For comparisons sake, they join the Dodge Challenger, a performance version of Mopar cars of its time. All three were compared by critics of that time and all three will once again be compared in a few years when production has been ramped up.

Ford Mustang - Step back in time with me to April 1964 to an era when America was heavily involved in the space race, Lyndon Johnson was president, and General Motors ruled autodom. Ford, for its part, had been nipping at GMs heels for years, but the failed Edsels of the late 1950s had cost the company dearly. Still, it was the time of the New York Worlds Fair and Ford used the fair and television technology to promote its newest offering, the Mustang. A 2+2 coupe borrowing parts from the Fairlane and Falcon, the 1964 model was the first one sold and is widely credited with being the best introduction of a new vehicle ever. With a V6 engine standard and V8 optional, the all new Mustang quickly broke sales records and has been a hot seller ever since. Indeed, with the introduction of the retro look Mustang in 2005, the car once again has spawned interest in the muscle car segment as both DaimlerChrysler and General Motors craft competing models of their own.

Dodge Challenger - After the success of earlier muscle cars including the Dodge Charger and Plymouth Cuda, the Dodge Challenger was launched as a 1970 model. The car borrowed heavily from the Cuda although the sheet metal was somewhat different and the wheelbase was stretched by a couple of inches. Because the muscle car era was in decline at the time of its introduction, the Challenger lasted only five model years before it was cancelled. The concept Challenger currently on display at many auto shows is based on the 1970 design and is the talk of message boards and blogs across the nation. Look for Hemi powered engines as being favored by many owners; the car is likely to share some technology with the current Magnum wagon and Charger sedan.

Chevrolet Camaro -- GM was asleep at the wheel when the Mustang came out. It took nearly three years before the company could respond and when it did the Camaro and Pontiac Firebird were the result. Although both cars sold well over the years, neither one could match the Mustangs sales levels and by the time the last cars were sold in 2002, production dropped to a trickle. Still, the end of the Camaro after 35 years has stirred renewed interest in the name and thanks to the retro Mustang, the entire muscle car category is growing once again. Look for a 2010 Camaro to be the first Camaro since 2002; a ragtop version is also being considered.

So, just who can be expected to purchase a muscle car these days? People just like me: middle aged men who grew up with the original models. In addition, a whole new generation of younger drivers tired of the me too look of so many of the compact cars out there. Muscle cars of today are so much different from earlier era cars as they incorporate the look of the originals while harnessing todays technology. Thus, fuel savings will be decent without sacrificing performance: a true win-win situation.

No, I cannot wait to see a Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro lined up at a traffic light waiting for the light to turn green. A new muscle car era is upon us and for that I am very excited.

Auto Parts Inner suggests a regular inspection of the vehicles major and minor parts, including the cooling system, engine system, ignition systems and the electrical system components.

Car part replacement is inevitable in your cars maintenance since all auto parts of the vehicle are subject to wear and tear and malfunctioning; thus, they need to be upgraded, repaired or replaced in order for the vehicle to function normally or more effectively.

Among the auto parts that wear out fast or gets frequently damaged are the body panels and other exterior parts such as the bumper, the door, the tailgate, and the wheels, including the tires. They are exposed to a lot of corrosive elements, which speed up formation of rust.

Sometimes, accidents happen and they too cause a lot of trouble to your vehicle no matter how much you have cared for your auto. The bumpers and the fender usually bear the brunt of the accident; thus, minor accidents are usually called fender benders. In most instances you need to replace them to restore the vehicles gutsy looks and excellent safety.

Other parts of the car that need to be checked include the radiator, auto lights, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, alternator, battery and other cooling, electrical and exhaust system parts. These auto parts perform very vital and difficult tasks and so they are also prone to abuse. They need to be checked every now and then as well.

Auto Parts Information offers top quality bumpers, fenders and fender flares.

us auto manufacturers are they ready to declare bankruptcy

U.S. Auto Manufacturers Are They Ready To Declare Bankruptcy?Writen by David Maillie

U.S. auto manufacturers are facing more pressure from import manufacturers every year. They have already been feeling the heat from Nissan, Toyota and Honda, but now with Hyundai taking a larger chunk of the middle and lower range cars, SUV's and trucks this may be the start of the end of the likes of Ford and G.M.

Ford has already announced a restructuring and a projected cut of 30,000+ jobs. G.M. has recently retired an old name brand Oldsmobile and is posting losses on a regular basis. Delphi Corp., the largest auto parts supplier for U.S. manufacturers has already declared bankruptcy which makes buyers leary of future parts availability. Most of the other parts suppliers are very close to or are currently declaring bankruptcy.

In the 80's when Chrysler was having severe finacial woes the government stepped in with million dollar loans and other aid. The government is currently reeling from Katrina, New Orleans, and the war in Iraq. It can't afford to bail out Ford or G.M. The public opinion is against a government bailout as the economy is not its best. George Bush has too many other problems to deal with like high gas prices, natural gas, Iraq, etc...

So, without a government bailout and no proposed new laws to halt the outsourcing and outflowing of jobs and such to overseas giants like China and Japan, it is only a matter of time before Ford and G.M. go bankrupt. Toyota and Honda have been gunning for the number 1 spot and now that they have it are not going to give it up. The only hope left is with the trucks. Both Ford and G.M. have a bustling truck business and it is their only profitable business. The imports have tried to break into this market and after quite a few years they have not had much success. The majority of trucks are bought by die hard Ford or Chevy people. But, that may also change. Toyota has found that the key may be in Nascar. This could and will lead to other imports getting involved and taking the American out of Nascar. That would eventually happen as they have more money and lower costs.

Basically, with the laws the way they are right now, the U.S. auto manufacturers do not stand a chance. So the question is do we restrain trade with countries like China and Japan, possibly hurt foreign relations, Make it more expensive to buy better built and higher quality imports, etc... Or let democracy, free trade, and a capitalist society have its way giving Americans the best, safest vehicles, for the lowest price? Regardless of how we make our laws, Walmarts or their equivalents will always prevail - the basic premise of Walmart's founder Sam Walton was to sell the best products to consumers at the lowest price possible. Look at what he did. In a period of 40 years he went from one store to being the largest retailer in the world. Walmart has plans for 2500 stores in China. Maybe the U.S. auto manufacturers could learn something here. Take the imports on at their own game, stop paying multi-million dollar compensation packages to executives that aren't fixing the company. Maybe they need to pay more attention to what brings the best results in advertising at the least expense. Why is it that some companies must spend millions on advertising and others in the same niche get more results for much less?

Ford and G.M. need to rethink and come out with an attack plan. Go after the imports at their own level. Maybe make a marketing ploy of America and what we may lose. The kids of today aren't growing up dreaming of Shelby Mustangs and Corvettes. They are driving Honda and Toyotas that they fix up like in the Movie The Fast and the Furious. Maybe its too late.

New Car Buying Tip: Don't Trade In A Car You Owe Money OnWriten by Chris Kavila

Here is a new car buying tip that can save you a lot of anxiety and grief, if not money.

It is quite common for people buying a new car to trade in their old car, and this tip will help you avoid the pitfall of such an action. Many times the happy customer drives away into the sunset and forgets all about this tiny detail only to get a very rude awakening a few weeks later. They suddenly find out that their new car dealer did not pay off their car loan in a couple of days as promised.

Legally when the bank calls, the loan is still in your name and you are therefore still liable and responsible.

The new car buying tip here that you really need to remember and enforce at all times, no matter how much you trust the car dealer, is to make sure that the car dealer puts everything in writing. It is really that simple. They need to put their promised intentions in writing that they will pay off your car loan in 10 days as promised verbally.

If they can not put it in writing then you should not under any circumstances whatsoever make the deal.

car audio systems bigger is better

Car Audio Systems - Bigger is Better?Writen by George Steiner

Are Big Car Speakers Better?

If you are planning to purchase car speakers, there are things you need to know in order to make the best choice. A clear mind and a basic plan of what you intend to buy are crucial when shopping for car speakers. Big car speakers do not always mean better speakers.

Purchasing speakers for your car can end up being more costly than necessary if you buy speakers that have numerous features you won't use. Keep in mind that top quality audio speakers cost more than some other brands, but are generally worth the investment. If big car speakers are your preference, make sure you buy a dependable brand name and make certain the speakers will provide you with crystal clear sound.

There are two basic kinds of car stereo speakers: component speakers and full range speakers. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Full range car stereo speakers generally consist of a tweeter, a woofer, and some may be equipped with a midrange or supertweeter. If you want to replace your factory speakers with minimal trouble, full range speakers are your best choice. Full range speakers come in varying sizes and price ranges.

If big car speakers are your preference, you can find full range speakers in almost any size. Component speakers give you the best possible sound quality through their superior design. The typical components include tweeters, separate woofers, and external crossovers. Each of these components is designed to compliment the others. Big car speakers can be part of a component system if you make sure you have all the necessary components.

For those who are serious about their car stereo speakers, a component system will be the best choice. Your sound system will have greater depth and sound more realistic. You can include big car speakers in a component system. Detailed sound and exceptional dynamics are the result of higher quality materials than are normally found in full range speakers.

The question of which are better - small or big car speakers is not a simple one. Big car speakers may be your preference but that will not ensure you of the getting the best sound. Car stereo speakers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Determining the type of car audio system you want is much more important than the size of speakers you purchase.

Enjoy!

cleaning latte stains from your car

Cleaning Latte Stains from Your CarWriten by Lance Winslow

Coffee stains are by far the most common stains found on the seats and floors of cars today. Most new cars have carpet stain resistant carpets installed from manufacturers. Most cars now have some sort of Scotch-Guard Type protectant, however Scotch Guard stopped manufacturing its product for a year and a half due to environmental costs at one of its factories. So for a while many Detailers at Dealerships were out of their supply.
Our company bought a huge supply after they announced that they were not going to make it anymore. Now other companies have replaced the gap in demand and they have started supplying the industry once again. Any carpet with this coating can clean a coffee stain with little more than warm water and a rag. Now days, with Starbucks and it's relationship with the consumer people are no longer driving through McDonalds trying to spill the coffee and sue for millions using the floorboards as proof for months while attorneys file frivolous lawsuits.

http://lawandhelp.com/q298-2.htm

The new consumer is getting all kinds of fancy coffee drinks with all kinds of ingredients and they are much tougher to clean. 60% of all stains in the cars are coffee stains of some type. If a carpet has a coffee stain, pure black coffee. Then here is what to do. Also works for Soda (most). Moisten the area with Folex or some spot remover wipe with warm moist rag and you are completed. If not perfect try this step a few times and then dry out the mat or area where stain was. Use a carpet brush to re-align the carpet fabric the proper direction. Now through in some foam, or milk, half and half or any possible combination and your job is a little more complex. And those Mocha frappachinos with whip cream and caramel sprinkled on top. Well now you have the stain from Hell. If there were a hell, for a detailer it would be a lifetime of cleaning up those spills from mini-vans.

For these types of spills here is what you do. Scrape any total excess build up with a plastic razor blade. Yuk, Then use Folex or your favorite spot remover product. We like Folex available at any janitorial store, great stuff and 20 years of good service to our team. Then if you are still frustrated and challenged try a foam type cleaner like spray n' wash and wipe. Then you will be left with a horrible and stubborn white ring for the Latte Scenario. Use a carpet brush on the carpet and a netted wax pad on fabric seats. Saddle Soap then Orange Bottled Lexol or try Leatherique Product on Leather seats;

the details of detailing auto detailer and car washing rigs

The Details of Detailing Auto Detailer and Car Washing RigsWriten by Lance Winslow

Are you in the auto detailing or mobile car washing business? If you so you know the importance of image and why you must detail your own rig to attract business and build confidence in your customer. Keep your truck and equipment clean. This goes without saying; you are in the cleaning business. How can you tell someone you do the best wash jobs in town if you have bugs on the grill, bird droppings on the hood and mud splashed on the sides of your truck.

Cleanliness

OK, obviously you should keep your work truck clean. Dont you think its kind of impressive that you never seen a dirty fire truck? Stainless steel, chrome, diamond plate and a well-waxed truck says something about the fire department and instills confidence in their skills. It makes you feel safe.

Think of your car wash truck or mobile detailing rig as a miniature fire truck. Your truck should be washed every other day, not because it gets dirtier than other vehicles but because its easy and because you are a professional auto detailer. When you run into a building, your crew should not be standing around. They should be cleaning the truck. This immediately shows you have pride and care about your business. People see your shiny car wash truck or mobile auto detailer rig and wish their cars looked that good.

You should also make that the truck looks good on the inside as well. Inside you should make sure:

Dash board is dressed

No carpet stains

Vacuumed properly

Windows cleaned inside

Door jams wiped

Orderly upkeep of items in the cab

A clean truck is your display case to sell your service to the consumer. Do not live in hypocrisy when you should be walking the walk with a first class image. Think about it.

the benefits of buying used cars in comparison to new cars

The Benefits Of Buying Used Cars In Comparison To New CarsWriten by Justin Brown

As time goes on and car manufacturers continue to produce more stable and reliable vehicles, the question arises that is there any benefit in buying a new car when a used car has many benefits?

I can think of many occasions when friends and family have chosen to part exchange in their existing vehicle for a new one every year or two, but nowadays it seems as though you are no better off buying a new vehicle than you are by purchasing a used one, and Ill try and explain why.

Anyone who has ever bought a new vehicle and has come to the point of selling it some years later, has probably been in the situation where theyll ask Is that all its worth, I paid X amount for it only two years ago. This is because the value of a new vehicle falls dramatically as soon as it is driven out of the showroom.

Furthermore, if value is important to you, finding a bargain of a used car can be very satisfying, and also financially rewarding. There is sometimes the conception that buying a used vehicle can be risky and that it will end up with one problem or another, although, the skills of engineers over the past years has shown to produce cars that are more reliable and more maintenance-free than ever before.

Even though this is possibly the case, the importance of performing vehicle checks on used vehicles is high, as it can highlight any hidden past that a vehicle may have and also show any potential problems.

The potential for loss on a vehicle is also much less on a car that has had several previous owners in comparison to a vehicle that has had just one owner. As mentioned earlier, a large chunk of the vehicle value is lost once it has left the dealership, and continues to decrease steeply over the first few years. However there usually gets to a point when the vehicle levels out and doesnt lose as high a percentage of its value year on year. This is where the money loss from buying the vehicle to when it is sold can be a lot less when choosing a used car.

However, this isnt to say that brand new cars are not worth looking at should you wish to. You can have the peace of mind that you are buying a new car with no problems and rest assured that it is a vehicle without a hidden past, and it also may be important to you to drive a new vehicle. You can also of course purchase any upgrades available for your car and virtually have the car made to your specification, within reason.

In summary, due mainly to manufacturers and engineers, the durability and reliability of previously owned vehicles means that they are no less a value than a new car. As the price of new cars climbs, the popularity of used vehicles looks to continue to soar higher than ever. There are benefits to buying both types of vehicles, either new or used, but one thing for certain is that previously owned vehicles are more reliable than ever.

All but the very luckiest of souls has, at some point, had their car towed away from them in the wake of malfunction from an automotive towing company, or worse, come out to the place it had once been parked only to find some phantom tow truck had grabbed hold of their prized possession and quickly spirited it away. The latter case is always most infuriating, though having to call an towing company is never anyones idea of a ripping good time in itself. Either way, without traffic enforcement bylaws and tow trucks we probably wouldnt recognize the world we live in, so its time to accept their existence, and know a few things about them that can help you in case you have to cross their path.

The first thing to make sure of as a car owner is that you have a plan of action in mind in the event of a breakdown or, God forbid, a sudden realization that you havent the requisite amount of gasoline to continue running that combustion engine of yours. Its embarrassing, yes but hey, it happens to all of us, so the best thing to do is swallow pride and vanity and ring up a auto towing company ASAP to get that motionless heap of your off the road as quickly as humanly possible. Having a number handy with you in your car at all times is a necessity. Just when youre having the worse day of your life as your engine overheats on two-lane bridge in the middle of summer, billowing smoke out like chimney, you dont need the added joy of having to stop and ask someone if they know the number of a tow truck so that you can quickly get out of the flow angry motorists who are bound to be making vocal their aggravation with you.

But that, of course, is the worst of the possible scenarios which could force you to have to call a towing company. Weve all done the key-in-the-ignition thing, where we frantically grope ourselves in hopes of realizing weve left our set of keys in some secret, hidden pocket we didnt realize we had, and then peered in through the tightly sealed window to see them dangling there inside locked doors. Again, we hate to admit our own stupidity, but it happens, and a towing company is the first number you punch into your cell phone to admit the understandable lapse in common sense. Of course, you may also be in the unfortunate position of having battery with no more juice without another soul around to help jumpstart you back into running order.

And then theres the other kind of auto towing that we have to bear witness to on a daily basis: the parking violation tow away. This, surely, is no laughing matter, but its also important for you as the motorist (in this case, parked motorist) to know that there are rules and regulations that every towing company must abide by before they hook themselves up to your car and speed off to the nearest impound lot. These laws are up to you to be aware of, and are occasionally broken at the motorist expense, when companies assume that car owners will be too ignorant to know their rights. Firstly, a car cannot usually be towed by an auto towing company due to a parking infraction unless the proper authorities are noted, and a significant amount of time (usually in the neighborhood of an hour) has elapsed to give the owner a chance to claim his automobile. Second, if you race out to see a truck in the process of raising your car up to tow away, you have the right to tell him to lower it back down, and it is against the law for him to impound it after you have done so.

Just knowing this much can save you money and stress, in what is bound to be a costly and stressful enough situation as it is. Know your rights and be prepared, and your encounters with the towing companies wont be as horrifying as they could be.

a simple car cleaning guide

A Simple Car Cleaning GuideWriten by Pete Lance

However, if we adopt simple techniques such as cleaning out cars regularly and attending minor repairs immediately, the results can be remarkable.

Some car owners think rainwater is the only enemy to their car, but bird droppings, highway bugs, atmospheric pollution and road salt can also ruin the beauty of your car.

Many owners think fighting these ever-diligent adversaries is a daunting task, so they dont usually bother, but truthfully, its easier than they think.

Step 1: Washing

First, spray water gently to thoroughly wet the surface of the vehicle. This light rinse helps to loosen the dirt on the vehicle. Then divide your car into five sections: the top, the hood, the trunk, the right side and the left side. Start from the top, move on to the hood and the trunk, and then concentrate on the right side and the left side. Washing should always be done very gentle such that the dirt will not scratch the body of your car. Re-wet and then rinse each section, finishing in the same order- top, hood, trunk and sides.

Step 2: Polishing

Polishing should only be done a small section at a time. Add an even coating of polish onto a towel, and then apply to the vehicle surface gently in small, even and circular motions. Start at the top and working your way down to the trunk and hood, finally ending with the sides. The polish should be allowed to sit on the paint surfaces for at least five to ten minutes. After this time, remove the residue with a different cotton towel by pressing firmly on the surfaces. The same procedure may be applied to all other four sections.

Step 3: Waxing

Use a soft and clean terry cloth towel to apply wax to a small section of the car. The application of wax to the car can be done similar to how polishing has been carried out. The only difference is you should wait until the wax has dried to a slight haze. If youre really striving, repeat the whole process again, adding a second coat of wax to the vehicle.

And there you have it! Youve removed the dirt and grime; polished away the small spots and scratches; and added another layer of protection to your vehicles finish. By now your car should glitter like it did the first day you got it. Dont forget the last step show off your car!

car buying driving the deal

Car Buying Driving The DealWriten by Jeff Neilan

When it comes to negotiating your best deal on the car youve got your eye on, first and foremost you have to do your research and homework on all the various parts of putting a car deal together.

At a high level, this is all the pricing, rebate, and dealer incentive numbers you can find on your perspective car. Youve lined up your financing so you know what you qualify for, how much you qualify for, how long you can finance, and what your monthly payments will be based on a few different financing scenarios. And (if applicable) you know the actual cash value, and retail value of your trade-in.

If you dont have a firm grasp on the aforementioned, proceed no further (dont show up at a dealership) until you do.

But if you have, and you feel confident, lets talk a bit further about negotiating.

Rule number one when it comes to negotiating and car deals.

NEVER negotiate from the MSRP down Youll NEVER get to the price you want.

Always negotiate from invoice price or dealer cost up.

Since youve done your homework, go to the dealership with your opening offer in mind. Be confident in yourself and the fact that although you certainly arent going to offer sticker price, your number will be fair and not ridiculous. If you offer up something totally ridiculous for the selling price from the dealer, youve wasted your time and havent really opened the negotiating process because your offer wont even be viewed as serious. Keep your offer within the win-win window.

When you know your numbers and you come across as confident (because you are) the sales people and the others at the dealership will be aware of this and will spend less time trying to work you.

Give yourself room to eventually feel good. By this I mean, dont table your first offer with the price you have in mind that you are willing to pay. Think about it for a moment; by definition there is going to be some negotiating going on here, so you certainly dont want to begin at the price you want to be and simply hold firm. This may sound easy but this is truly a point where many miss the mark. Many people feel uncomfortable about starting below their target price, but it is an absolute must when it comes to successfully coming close to or hitting your pricing goal.

If the salesperson or the dealership is the first to offer up a number to get things going, rather than you countering with an actual dollar amount simply let the salesperson know that his number simple not within your budget and they need to come back with a better offer. By doing this, your goal is to get an even better opening price without tipping your hand.

Remember, a dealership is always going to take a couple shots at maximizing the deal for their side first.

Keep in mind that negotiating is just that negotiating. It isnt a one-way street where you get everything you want and the dealership simply acquiesces. There is plenty of give and take and it may not (actually hardly ever is) limited to just the price of the car. In other words, if you feel like you have to come up a bit off your offer or counter offer, see if you can get some return value for your effort such as some complimentary maintenance, even floor mats or something.

When you do this it keeps the negotiation alive and lets the dealer know that you are serious about putting together that win-win deal that works for both parties.

Stay open minded during the process and treat the entire car buying process as a negotiation package. There are numerous avenues that you can probe for negotiation during the car buying process. Its not just the price. However, dont agree on the price and then start trying to negotiate other items. Once youve said yes to the price, you lose your leverage. Remember its the entire package.

Finally, always keep in mind that without you there is no deal for the dealer. If you reach an impasse if you have to walk. Dont rationalize giving in against your better judgment because you really want the car, or that youve spent the better part of your day at the dealership. Remember the dealer and the salesperson have their time invested as well and dont want the deal to fall through either. Be patient, keep the negotiation communication lines open and chances are youll be rewarded with a new car at a price you feel good about paying.

nine japanese automakers

Nine Japanese AutomakersWriten by Matthew Keegan

Japanese built and designed cars have flooded the North American market for over forty years now. Over time, many nameplates have come and gone, but Japanese cars continue to gain market share and acceptance with a growing number of motorists attracted to their high quality and durability. There are nine Japanese automobile manufacturing companies in existence. Can you name them? Lets take a look at the list:

Toyota The second largest automaker in the world is Toyota, maker of the Camry, the Corolla, and a host of SUVs, trucks, passenger cars, and a van. Toyotas Lexus division produces luxury cars, while its Scion division manufactures youth oriented vehicles.

Honda The Accord and the Civic are Hondas two most well known models, followed by the Odyssey minivan, the Ridgeline truck, the Element, and several other passenger vehicles. Acura is the name given to Hondas luxury car division.

Nissan Drive a Datsun and then decide. Up until the early 1980s, Nissans North American nameplate was Datsun, but was switched to Nissan to give it a more global name. The Sentra, Maxima, and Pathfinder are amongst the divisions best selling vehicles. Infiniti is Nissans luxury car division. Renault Motors of France owns a controlling interest in Nissan.

Mitsubishi Originally imported exclusively by Chrysler, Mitsubishi began to sell cars under its own name in the 1980s. Top selling models include the Lancer, the Eclipse, and the Montero. DaimlerChrysler owns a chunk of the company.

Mazda The Tribute, Miata, and the 6 are some of the most well known Mazda models. The Mazda 6s platform also powers several Ford Motor Company cars including the Mercury Milan. Ford owns an important stake in the company.

Subaru Think all wheel drive and you may just think Subaru. The Forester, Outback, and Legacy are all top selling Subaru models. Fuji Heavy Industries [FHI owns Subaru; General Motors has a 20 percent stake in FHI.

Suzuki 20% owned by General Motors, Suzuki is as noted for producing cars as it is for manufacturing motorcycles. The Grand Vitara is one of its most noted models.

Isuzu Did someone say General Motors? Again, GM owns a stake in Isuzu. At one time Isuzu imported cars to the US, but those days are over. Currently, Isuzu has a miniscule presence and the two vehicles they do sell the Ascender SUV and I Series pick ups are simply rebadged GMC vehicles.

Daihatsu The Charade and Rocky were two models introduced by Daihatsu when the car company started selling vehicles in North America in 1988; four years later its North American operations were closed. In 1999, Toyota assumed controlling interest over the company.

So, there you have it: there are nine Japanese automakers, two of which are still independent. Much like the American market further consolidation is likely with nameplates disappearing entirely just like the Packard, Hudson, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, and a host of other North American nameplates have driven off into the history books.

dealing with shoddy car dealers and dealerships

Dealing with Shoddy Car Dealers and DealershipsWriten by Andy Maingam

Whenever you think about a business that has got a bad wrap, often the car dealerships come to mind. This is especially true with the used car dealerships. But why is there so much sneakiness and dishonesty with the trading of autos? What is it about the buying and selling of vehicles that creates conmen and petty crooks out of otherwise honest law abiding citizens?

Over the years, I've not found a single car dealership that I can honestly say I trust 100%. A good few years ago, I bought a brand new Ford Sierra XR4 from a local dealer. After it had been in for its first service, I hadn't been driving around for more than half a day when the red oil warning light came on. Alarmed by this, I immediately drove it back to the service center.

The mechanic on duty checked the oil dip stick and nothing registered. I could see by the look on his face that someone had made a blunder. Do you know anything about cars sir, he asked without making any kind of eye contact. Not much on the mechanical side of things, I replied. He then went on to explain that new cars of this type use a lot of oil in the early days of running-in, and if I'd just like to take a seat, they'll get me topped up and back on the road in no time at all.

He must have though I was born yesterday. It was obvious what had happened. They had drained the oil out in preparation for an oil change and then someone somehow, had forgot to replace the oil and the car was passed back to me as serviced. Okay, so this incident was caught before any harm real was done, but the point I'm trying to make is that car dealerships, be they used, new, or both, seem to have an inability to be honest with the customer.

When my son bought his first ever car from a private seller(an Austin Mini Cooper S 1000), he was assured by the nice gentleman that sold it to him that it was a much loved and well maintained motor. He went on to say that his daughter was very sad to see it go, but she needed to raise some cash for studies. After 2 days, the brakes failed and 3 brake pipe replacements were necessary. The boy was lucky he didn't get killed. A few weeks after that he loaded the little boot with a heavy suitcase as he prepared to go on a weekend trip and it fell through the rotted floor which was covered up with thick metallic paint and carpet. Of course, we went back and complained to the man who promptly told us to sod off as the motor was sold-as-seen, and we have therefore no rights for redress.

The above are just a couple of incidences within our family, but just about everyone I know has a horror story of some kind regarding the purchase of a new or used motor.

I'm not saying that all care dealerships are crooked, but I do believe that even the best of the best exaggerate the good points and downgrade the bad. It seems to be the nature of the business.

The internet has given them a bit of a slap in the face now though as folks are no longer restricted to just their local car dealerships. Competition is always healthy for the consumer. But perhaps one of the best tools the internet has provided for those looking for new automobiles, is 'real' reviews by customers on both car dealerships and cars.

My tip for anyone looking to buy for the first time or exchange their existing motor, is to start shopping around long before you make your next purchase. Get a feel for prices nationwide, check out any extras, and try to find reviews on the sales and after sales service of the traders.

They will always tell you that their offer is the sweetest deal going but with the Information Super Highway at our finger tips, we now know better.

who would have ever though that one day you would be plugging in your car

Who Would Have Ever Though That One Day You Would Be Plugging In Your CarWriten by Gregg Hall

When the first hybrids hit the market, consumers were baffled on how they worked and believed that these cars only worked when they had been plugged in for awhile. This was not the case, but today, car companies have developed the plug in hybrid, which don't exactly require being plugged in, yet offer the option anyways. This means that drivers can reap some of the benefits that an electric car provides with the added bonus of increased capabilities.

The same distances of travel can be accomplished, but the only difference is that you can choose to use electric power all the way through. When comparing the two products, you will find that they aren't that much different from the first models. Plug in hybrids possess a few additional advantages that appease the driver, as well as the environment. Plug in hybrids reduce the public's dependency on oil, as well as cuts costs and decreases pollution levels.

The reason that oil use is reduced when using a plug in hybrid is because they possess battery packs that have the capacity to handle travel for more than 30 miles solely on the battery. When the battery needs recharging, all you have to do is plug it into a regular 120V outlet. Electric cars have the potential of squeezing 100 miles from a gallon of gas. Plug in hybrids also provide two times the fuel economy than traditional automobiles, as well as better results than the standard hybrid.

Today, plug in electric hybrids are already available to the public. They possess a larger battery than the standard models, as well as the ability to work from a mixture of electric means and liquid fuels. It is the plug in hybrids that offer liquid fuel tanks, which sets it apart from limiting cars that run solely on electricity. Overall, they provide the better choice for driving a cleaner car on the road. Greenhouse gases are reduced through the use of these vehicles. The use of petroleum is significantly reduced when choosing a model that runs on biofuel.

If you were wondering if there was anything negative to reveal about the plug in hybrid, yes, there are disadvantages to using this car. It is rather expensive to maintain and purchase a plug in hybrid battery. The price of standard hybrids increases by about $3000, when adding this type of battery to preexisting models. If numerous car companies jump on the plug in hybrid bandwagon, the price of the batteries may decrease over time.

A onetime incentive to consider regarding a plug in hybrid car is the promise of a Clean Fuel Vehicle Federal tax reduction. This incentive is for $2000. Keep in mind that you will have to replace your battery often because the lifespan of a plug in selection is drastically reduced through the constant charging cycles. Mileage may also be affected by the weight of a plug in battery, which comes from long car rides. Although your car will have to work harder to handle this weight, it does not produce a slower vehicle. The Internet is full of additional details regarding the plug in hybrid, which is just a good as the standard, offering a bit more possibilities.
